About

Pentomime is a collaborative effort between art director Sin and designer/illustrator/artist Kuanth. It is a creative expression of the everyday life. It is our way of presenting the things we love through art and design.

Pentomime is a play on the word pantomime which, in Ancient Greek, means "imitates all". As the brand is first conceived out of love for the beautiful Penang island, we swapped the "a" for "e", to emphasize the island's inspiration in the making of the brand.

The first series of locality totes feature three Penang locales in the island’s official dialect, Penang Hokkien, which sounds melodious and likened to singing.

本著对槟城的热爱，工作于广告公司的Sin与设计师/插画家/艺术家Kuanth一起协手完成了一系列充满本土风味的手提袋，希望能通过日常生活上的小细节体献在我们的设计里面。

Pentomime这一字来自古希腊语，意喻“模仿”。我们交替了“a”成“e”，强调品牌的原创灵感来自於槟城特有的生活方式。

这叁款手提袋各自运用了道地槟城福建话，那听起来好像歌谣一样的独有方言，看看艺术如何走入生活。
